Locations of the positions: <\/b>Germany, The UK, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Croatia<\/span><\/p>\n Positions start: July 1st, 2019 (at latest)<\/b><\/p>\n Reference: \u00a0CLEOPATRA ITN<\/b><\/p>\n The CLEOPATRA ITN \u00a0is offering 15 Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher positions<\/span>\u00a0in the fields of Computer Science and Digital Humanities.<\/span><\/p>\n The CLEOPATRA ITN aims to make sense of the massive digital coverage generated by the events of global importance in Europe over the past decade. CLEOPATRA offers a unique interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research and training programme, which will explore how we can begin to analyse and understand the major events that influence and shape our lives and our societies. It will facilitate advanced cross-lingual processing of textual and visual information related to key contemporary events at scale, and will develop innovative methods for efficient and intuitive user access to and interaction with multilingual information.<\/span><\/p>\n Dependent on the individual research project, successful candidates will have a strong background in Computer Science or Digital Humanities (an outstanding MSc degree in the corresponding discipline). Familiarity with one or more of the following areas is of advantage: Semantic Technologies, Human Computer Interaction, Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction and Machine Learning. <\/span><\/p>\n Good proficiency in English is expected; knowledge of further European languages is of advantage. International experience during your studies or afterwards as well as good social and communication skills are helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n As a successful candidate, you will:<\/span><\/p>\n Your research will focus on selected topics in the area of multilingual information science in a challenging and unique research environment.<\/span><\/p>\n The positions are offered full-time for three years (36 months<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n To be eligible the applicant must satisfy the mobility requirements<\/strong><\/a> of <\/span>Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie<\/span> actions, explained in full detail at page\u00a0[6, 19].\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>According to these guidelines, at the time of recruitment, the potential candidate \u201c<\/span>must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date.
