CLEOPATRA offers a unique interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research and training programme, which will explore how we can begin to analyse and understand the major events that influence and shape our lives and our societies. It will facilitate advanced cross-lingual processing of textual and visual information related to key contemporary events at scale, and will develop innovative methods for efficient and intuitive user access to and interaction with multilingual information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dependent on the individual research project, successful candidates will have a strong background in Computer Science or Digital Humanities (an outstanding MSc degree in the corresponding discipline). Familiarity with one or more of the following areas is of advantage: Semantic Technologies, Human Computer Interaction, Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction and Machine Learning. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good proficiency in English is expected; knowledge of further European languages is of advantage. International experience during your studies or afterwards as well as good social and communication skills are helpful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a successful candidate, you will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct research at your host organisation in the context of the CLEOPATRA project.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide important input to the development of integrated cross-lingual data analytics platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actively participate in the training programme offered by the CLEOPATRA ITN.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Engage with researchers at CLEOPATRA partner organisations across the EU. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct research visits and secondments according to the individual career development plan. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your research will focus on selected topics in the area of multilingual information science in a challenging and unique research environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The positions are offered full-time for three years (<strong>36 months<\/strong>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible the applicant must satisfy the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/data\/ref\/h2020\/other\/guides_for_applicants\/h2020-guide-appl-msca-itn_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>mobility requirements<\/strong><\/a> of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> actions, explained in full detail at page\u00a0[6, 19].\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to these guidelines, at the time of recruitment, the potential candidate \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date.
