About me
Anna Katrine Jørgensen is a PhD researcher at the Department of Media Studies, University of Amsterdam. She holds a BA in English and an MSc in Computer Science and NLP, both from the University of Copenhagen.
She is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow and is part of the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project, CLEOPATRA, which investigates major international events that influence and shape our lives and societies through cross-lingual event centric analytics. In her PhD project, ‘Wikipedia as a first rough draft of history’, she performs cross-cultural research on Wikipedia language versions of articles on emerging news events and their temporal evolution. Before starting her PhD, Anna worked as a computational linguist at Google AI developing the Google Assistant.
